When the stage smoke wasn't enveloping the Substation in Seattle on Nov. 12, the metalists in attendance could get a glimpse of the rippers, sludgers and doomers who were pushing their instruments and amps to the hilt.

There were copious styles of crunching, aural offerings for all. People were stoked and the voices and hands from those delivering the fucking precious yet gnarled gifts of noise received a proper pummeling on this eve.
