If it was even conceivable, End of Hope has managed to heighten its level of pummel-osity copious notches on its latest offering, the "Pushback is Strong" long-player.

Four years ago, the band unleashed its jackhammering "Cease and Destroy" debut album that virtually left ear particles strewn across the punk/metal landscape. Just when listeners' ears have had sufficient time to heal, here comes the raucous New York City destruction unit again, wielding 11 new songs filled with heft, rawness and precision.

Once again, End of Hope thoroughly bestrides the punk and metal territories. Imagine the scene: Think Motorhead meets Black Flag or EyeHateGod in an alleyway, all lurking about and punching their way into the sonic melee.

"Our goal for this second album was to push everything out to the furthest extreme. We wanted a much more dynamic and diverse album that would keep surprising the listener. The punk songs are more hardcore, the sludgy songs are even heavier, and from track to track to track, there is no letup," the band says, adding that they aimed to deliver the wallop from Ken Wohlrob's opening guitar riff to singer Davey Gunner's final scream.

Mission: accomplished 11-fold, as bassist Davis Schlachter and drummer David Richman supply a stunning low end that travels intensely from people's heads straight down to their guts.

End of Hope's initial single from the new album, “Seed Indecision," is what they term the release's final summary statement. It was destined for that role, they say, and is perched in the 11 spot, eagerly awaiting its turn to leap into the fray.

"It is a perfect encapsulation of our goals for this new album: wanting to shove as hard as we can against the boundaries of what can be considered heavy rock or hardcore punk, finding our own ground somewhere outside the genres," notes the fiery, fist-swinging foursome.

"Pushback is Strong," which will enter the musical realm on March 14, was recorded at Suburban Elvis Studios in New York with production, mixing and mastering stalwarts Joe Kelly and Kol Marshall once again placing their sturdy hands into End of Hope's universe and readying the album for public consumption.
