Mike Peters of the Alarm left a massive impact on us all with his uplifting songs and captivating spirit. Through him, we receive the never-ending drive to live our lives to the fullest. A hero and an inspiration.
Cat and I visited Peters' hometown of Rhyl, Wales in 1993, strolled down to the beach, stayed at the Imperial Hotel and played pool with (and beat) one of Peters' old school chums in the pub below. The Load of Mischief was another cool nearby pub that we checked out and we also dined at Boswell's, feasting on a stellar steak meal. A great visit.
I met him twice at Alarm gigs and he gave me a hello and a big smile.
