How can one not get drawn in by Chicago powerhouse Pegboy? You make your way up front, settle in for a bit and then when the first chord rings out, you get the full-on punk rock treatment of energy, chaos, interaction and appreciation from the band that we're all in this stellar music atmosphere together. Everyone's crushing it on stage and in the crowd. What a fucking smashing success.

Seattle rockers were lucky to get the first dose of Pegboy on its 12-date West Coast tour on June 26 at El Corazon. Openers The Dollyrots, Go Betty Go, Amusement and Baby and the Nobodies set the stage with their sterling tunes and vitality before Pegboy brought down the house.
