Pure Thin Lizzy gold: Unearthed images from 1980 in New Orleans/ Arthur Barrios Sr. photos

Phil Lynott: The Rocker! (All Arthur Barrios Sr. photos)

Who isn't always up for seeing some rare Thin Lizzy photos?

Well, today is that day, rocker friends.

Here we've got some stellar shots from Arthur Barrios Sr., who captured the band on Dec. 12, 1980, at The Warehouse in New Orleans.

His son, Arthur, posted some of these on a Thin Lizzy Facebook page and we contacted him for permission to share the wondrous Chinatown tour pics here. Major score!

Arthur Sr. remembers Thin Lizzy unleashing a phenomenal set that night. The lineup was Phil Lynott, Scott Gorham (who is wearing some sort of a brace after injuring his leg/knee a few days before the gig), Snowy White and Brian Downey. It looks like Darren Wharton might be playing keyboards.

"My Dad said he vividly remembers the entire crowd booing New England off of the stage right before this. He remembers the crowd throwing things at them on stage," Arthur Jr. said.

Also included are a ticket stub, show bill (courtesy of a Thin Lizzy site) and a patch and guitar pick that Dad gave to son a few years ago.

Thanks to the Barrios guys!
